The model shows that there is a trade off between investment cost and reduction of total inventory cost. The model is developed based on Halim and Chandra (2000) discussing a model lot sizing that involves setup cost reduction for flowshop production system producing products with single level structure, and Rahman (2003) discussing model of lot sizing in a manufacture system producing with simple structure without involving setup cost reduction.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Optimal number of shipment and optimal setup cost are calculated to minimize total production cost per year which consist of total inventory cost and total investment cost. The optimal solution has been obtained by analytical calculation, that is, by derivating the function of total cost per year to lot sizing and setup cost. An algorithm determining of shipments and optimal setup cost has been proposed. The model has been verified by generating hypothetical data. The verification concludes that the parameters of the model have a model visibility limit. This means that the setup cost reduction cannot be applied beyond the model visibility limit.<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> The result of this research is a model determining the number of optimal shipments and optimal lot sizes and setup cost for each stage of production processes, total inventory cost and total production cost. <br /> text
