Facilities to be used include approach channel and turning basin. Approach channel is a port component used as the entry and exit point for ships. Turning basin is an area used by ships to berth and maneuver for loading and unloading purposes. Configurations that need to be considered in the design of approach channel are the depth, width, and side slope. Whereas in the turning basin, things that must be considered are the depth and the area of the turning area as the place for the ship to maneuver. By following the dimension of the largest ship, dredging work for the approach channel and turning basin is required. This final project includes the determination of the layout of the approach channel and turning basin, estimation of dredging volume, selection of dredging vessel, estimation of dredging project duration, and estimated costs required for dredging work. The layout used is the shipping lane for 2-way shipping. The volume of dredging works is 15.285.650,50 m3 and will be dredged using TSHD Andromeda V and TSHD Aru II. The cost of dredging works is Rp. 128.755,21 per cubic meter.
