Franchise is a business activity with the method of granting a license, brand, copyright, or patent from the franchisor to the franchisee with the amount of royalty fees and franchise fees that have been agreed by both parties. In conducting a franchise business, there must be a binding law between the franchisor and franchisee so that the business can run smoothly and also to avoid unwanted obstacles. Business with franchise method is in great demand by entrepreneurs nowadays because the risks in opening a franchise business are relatively low and high skills are not required in opening a franchise business. However, there are also some disadvantages of the franchise system such as not being able to develop its business because everything has been regulated by the franchisor through a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and the income are not fully obtained because you have to share with the franchisor according to a predetermined agreement. In creating a franchise business, there are steps that must be carried out, such as determining a business concept, conducting a franchisability study, and making franchise documents. The formation of a business concept aims to provide a clear picture of the franchise business that will be carried out. Making a franchisability study is useful to determine whether a business is feasible to become a franchise business from a qualitative and quantitative perspective. The purpose of making documents is to become a reference for the franchisor and franchisee in running their franchise business so that the franchise business continues to develop and keep up with the times. After all those steps is done, a franchise business can be launched and the business must always be supervised and corrected by both parties.
