COMPARATION ANALYSIS OF EMBANKMENT CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL LOADING AND HAULING WITH BELT CONVEYOR AND DOUBLE TRAILER BASED ON ECONOMIC VALUE AT PT XYZ, MIMIKA REGENCY, PAPUA PROVINCE

PT XYZ is a company that operates in construction and mining sector with Area of Mining Business License (WIUP) located in Mimika Regency, Papua Province. PT XYZ will construct a cross embankment on south of WIUP that needs granular-fill as main material. Granular-fill is obtained from mining activity with quarry method on north of WIUP. Therefore, hauling material process is needed from mining area to the location of cross embankment. Two kinds of hauling method, consist of double trailer and belt conveyor hauler are analyzed to find the most economic one. Distances of main hauling way are 43,2 km using double trailer and 42,6 km with belt conveyor. In analyzing economic level, capital cost and operating cost become major consideration. Total cost of double trailer hauling method consist of buying and using 7 unit wheel loader and 12 unit double trailer as main unit and 1 unit motor grader and 1 unit water truck as supporting unit based on necesarry as much as US$ 60.943.059. Meanwhile, total cost of belt conveyor hauling method consist of buying and using 7 unit wheel loader and 4250 set belt conveyor as main unit and 5 transfer point location as supporting based on necesarry as much as US$ 77.546.471. Based on result of total cost calculation, Hauling using double trailer results lower economic expense than using belt conveyor. It is because cheaper capital cost if compared with using belt conveyor, although in the other side operating cost of belt conveyor results lower economic expense.
