Description
Summary:Scheduling is the process of allocating resources, such as humans and machines, to complete a set of jobs within a predetermined period of time. Every company, especially packaged beverage companies, must schedule their product so that the production process runs effectively and efficiently. This final project tries to formulate a mathematical model that is useful for determining the production schedule of a packaged beverage company. There are four models discussed in this final project including the Flow Shop Scheduling model, the Hybrid Flow Shop Scheduling model, the Modified Hybrid Flow Shop Scheduling model without cleaning process and the Modified Hybrid Flow model Shop Scheduling with cleaning process. To test the model, two kinds of simulations were carried out. The first simulation was conducted to compare models without cleaning process. Meanwhile, the second simulation is conducted to compare the Modified Hybrid Flow Shop Scheduling model without cleaning process and the Modified Hybrid Flow Shop Scheduling model with cleaning process.
