Summary:Construction is an activity to build facilities and infrastructure. In an architectural or civil engineering field, a construction is also known as a building or infrastructure unit in an area or several areas. PT. TeamworX Indonesia (TeamworX) is a Construction Consultant and they have assisted a wide range of clients across Indonesia since 2003. TeamworX believes in ‘turning your plan into reality’ by providing one stop service solutions from concept up to completion. While TeamworX has been working in the construction world since 2003, several issues or problems that occurred in a construction project were found, including the contractor is not performing well, low discipline of contractors, error estimation during tender, etc. One of the departments at PT. TeamworX Indonesia which managed the project construction is Construction Management (CM). This department in general is manage the project from administration, project excecution, and project completion. One of the important elements in building a construction is the availability and productivity of labor. In this study, problems or issues related to the availability and productivity of labor will be an item of analysis of problems that occur in the PT. ABCD. The 5 why analysis method was carried out to find the root of the problems that occurred in the PT. ABCD resulting in delays in project completion. The results of the 5 why analysis, author will calculate the needs and productivity of labor. The results of this calculation will be compared with the actual so that it can be seen that the workforce provided by the Contractor is insufficient to meet the volume requirements of the work. From the results of the analysis of job duration, labor requirements and labor productivity, two alternative solutions or scenarios can be obtained that can achieve the work completion target. (1) By adding workers, (2) Increase workers productivity. The solution made by authors namely develop project management planning is a solution to easy to be adapted by Contractor or another Construction Management teams for executing that proposed solution, some resources are needed, such as the person who is in-charge to make manpower calculation and asses some activities in implementation plan. Results of the calculations can be implemented on an ongoing project or for an upcoming project, in this case the calculation of labor needs to be discussed in advance with the contractor at the beginning of the project and the total labor force needs to be approved together.
