Higher education in Indonesia consists of university, college, academy, institute, and etc.
STHI Jentera is a law specialized higher education institutions which offer Bachelor degree and specialized public training. Founded by the prominent Indonesian law experts, Jentera currently facing the challenge in competing and offer their unique and distinct business value from other law school. The emergence of technology development in learning process and pandemic Covid-19 enforces them to open online learning without proper preparation. In order to improve the learning process and sustain its business in information technology era, the school tried to formulate the new business strategy as the practical law education provider in corresponding with the current Indonesia’s law practice.
The research aims to formulate the strategy of business process improvements focusing on good governance particularly to enhance and strengthen the value process offered by Jentera in competing education industry. Case study analysis is used to explore the detail information about the business process in organization. Data collection is done through user interview, user survey, observation into research object, user FGD, and documen tation of internal company’s data. Triangulation table and fishbone is used to map the root cause of the problem, strategy is formulated using the benchmarking of business practice and regulation in education sector. The results find the needs of human resource management improvement as they are the key part of business process in education sector, re-function its
business unit in finance to conducted with the good governance practice, value alignment to preserve learning assistance, and learning ecosystem by collaboration and strategic alliances to deal with its internal and external environment limitation. |
