Summary: | One of the criteria for Construction project success is the completion of projects on
time. Several Construction projects in Indonesia have experienced delays and
disruptions, which have a significant impact on project financing, and may even
affect project sustainability. SCL: Delay and Disruption Protocol is a scheme for
dealing with delays and disruptions and is prepared to provide guidance on matters
to be addressed while contracts are being drafted and negotiated, as well as for the
management of claims for delays and disruptions that arise during the project. This
study uses an approach and deepening the related literature to investigate the
extent to which each party is responsible for project delays and whether this
Protocol can be considered for application in the analysis of delays and disruptions
in Construction projects in Indonesia. This research examines the contents, stages
and functions of the SCL Protocol then creates a framework that shows the overall
delay and disruption Protocols. Then review the application of the SCL in one case
and then apply it to the other.
The application of the SCL: Delay and Disruption Protocol has the potential to be
applied because basically the Oil and Gas infrastructure X project, Contractor
which is one of the case studies has applied the SCL Protocol in project recording,
submitting sub-network / delay Fragnet (Employer Risk Event) as soon as possible
when / After the delay event occurs, describes the actual delay and projects the
delay impact then the Contractor performs an analysis to determine the longest
critical path. |
