Summary: | Global warming and environmental issues are driving the use of electric cars by
issuing regulations, incentives and preparing infrastructure..Research on the
acceptance of electric cars has been widely carried out in various countries with
different conditions and situations. Indonesia has issued regulations and policies
regarding the acceleration of the use of electric cars and this needs to be supported
by automotive manufacturers. Electric cars are still a new technology in Indonesia,
therefore it is necessary to conduct a study on the acceptance of Indonesian
consumers towards electric cars.
The research method that will be used to analyze the application of a new
technology is development Technology Acceptance Model 2 (TAM2). The variables
that planned to be studied are 13 variables, but with market conditions in Indonesia,
where there are not many electric cars and the focus of this research is more on
electric car products, then 5 variables will be excluded in this study, so the variable
that will be analyzed for this study are 8 variables. The survey was conducted by
online and the link was distributed via chat media and finally had 317 respondents.
The questionnaire data taken is not only the respondent's profile data, but also
factor analysis data and stated preference, to see the acceptance factors and the
expectations of the respondents for an electric car.
The variables to be analyzed are Product Performance (PP), Infrastructure (IS),
Environmental Benefits (ML), Perceived Risks (AR), Perceived Usefulness (MP),
Perceive Ease of Use (MK), Price Acceptance (PH) and Behavioral Intention to
use / Consumer Acceptance (PK). Several hypotheses were formulated to test the
effect of each variable and the result is that Infrastructure (IS) does not affect
Perceived Usefulness (MP) and Price Acceptance (PH) does not affect Consumer
Acceptance (PK). Variable Product Performance (PP), Environmental Benefits
(ML) and Perceived Risks (AR) have an influence on Perceived Usefulness (MP).
The results of the factor regression analysis show that Perceived Usefulness (MP)
have a significant effect on Consumer Acceptance (PK) when compared to Perceive
Ease of Use (MD). Lastly stated preference research is also conducted to determine
the expectations of Indonesian consumers both qualitatively and quantitatively, so
that the expectations of Indonesian consumers for an electric car can be identified |
