Summary: | Based on the hierarchy of waste management, currently it is carried out by maximizing the reduction of waste sent to the TPA and optimizing the 3R (reduce, reuse recycle) waste processing in waste processing sites (TPS). Based on the existing conditions, the management at Harapan Island TPS has carried out sorting from sources and made several recycled products either by biological, physical, or thermal processing, but there are still deficiencies. At Panggang Island TPS, the processing carried out is still very minimal, this has resulted in the TPS area being unorganized and disturbing the aesthetics. Thus, it is necessary to redesign the waste management from TPS to TPS 3R on Harapan Island and Panggang Island. By paying attention to technical, economic, social, institutional, and environmental factors, the management of TPS 3R is planned using optimistic scenario management from 3 scenario choices, namely pessimistic, moderate and optimistic. In this scenario, the waste collected from the source experiences a waste reduction of 10% with an increase of 2% each year and is separated into organic and inorganic waste. At TPS 3R, biological processing will be carried out with a handling rate of 80% and a rate of 2% annually to 100%, physical with a handling rate of 85% and a rate of 1.5% annually to 100%, and thermal 90%. Using this scenario the reduction rate achieved was 86% for TPS 3R Pulau Harapan and Pulau Panggang at the end of the planning period. |
