Description
Summary:Most of the waste generated in urban areas is organic waste in the form of food. This food waste is produced from restaurants or restaurants. Through anaerobic fermentation, food waste can be processed into biogas. The biogas produced by food waste can be used for cooking. To process food waste into biogas, an appropriate system is needed for a restaurant scale. This study focuses on the analysis of the biogas system and the utilization of biogas using data on the potential for food waste in the city of Padang which is processed with empirical equations for the calculation of biogas productivity. Then from the results of the analysis, the economic calculation of the biogas system is obtained where from 24 kg of food waste / day can be obtained a biogas system with a PBP value of 17 months with savings in the use of 12 kg LPG gas to 5 cylinders per month.
