Description
Summary:Indonesia's national electricity supply is dominated by the supply of Steam Power Plants with the condition of dwindling fuel reserves. Accompanied by an increase in the production of greenhouse gases originating from the energy sector, it is necessary to emphasize the use of Steam Power Plants. The high population increase makes electricity demand increase by 328 MW per year for the next 10 years. In developing Indonesia's natural potential, the existence of a Mini-hydro Power Plant with environmentally friendly fuel is needed in this condition. The study area is located on the Aek Rambe River, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra Province, which has a watershed area of 362,095 km2. Based on the calculation of the N-RECA method, the mainstay discharge used is 55% with a discharge value of 27,24 m3/s. The power plant can produce electricity of 2 x 4,28 MW. The construction cost incurred is Rp. 200.730.854.17 accompanied by an annual income value of Rp. 75.146.119.060, the NPV value for 25 years is Rp. 188.564.397.640, IRR 19,251%, BCR 1,94, and PBP for 3 years 1 months 8 days.
