Description
Summary:Motivation is one of the most important factors determining employee performance, and highly motivated employees are critical to a company's success. Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation are used as the framework for this study. The purpose of this study is to assess the influence of intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation towards employee performance during pandemic in Bank ABC, Bandung. Data was collected through a questionnaire survey for measuring how intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation given by the company influences employee performance. A population of 49 people were selected as objects for this study. The software that has been used for data analysis is SPSS v. 25. There are six independent variables taken for this study. There are recognition, growth opportunity, and responsibility for intrinsic motivation. While for extrinsic motivation, there are compensation, interpersonal relations, and working conditions. The result and findings of the study prove that intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation partially or simultaneously have a significant and positive influence on employee performance in Bank ABC. Among those two variables, extrinsic motivation has a more dominant and significant influence on employee performance. Most employees feel that they are more motivated by compensation but they feel that the compensation they receive is not commensurate with their workload. Therefore, this research recommends companies to provide a more suitable and attractive compensation structure so that employees are more motivated.
