This study observed the difference capability direct compression mannitol. Four products of mannitol are checked by x-ray diffractometer, differential scanning calorimeter, and electron microscope. In the other hand, particle distribution range four products of mannitol are checked too. Mixed ibuprofen which has a particle distribution range of 100-200 um annitol Parteck M-200, Pearlitol 200 SD, and Granular Mannogem is directly compressed. Each of tablets are evaluated including, weight, hardness, disintegration time, frictibility, friability, ibuprofen content and dissolution. Diffractogram of mannitol Parteck M-200, Granular Mannogem, and Original mannitol showed same polymorph type. But, diffractogram of mannitol Pearlitol 200 SD showed different polymorph type. Thermogram showed melting temperature of mannitol Parteck M-200 170,4 , Mannogem Granular 170,4 , Original mannitol 171,0 , and Pearlitol 200 SD 173,2 . Ibuprofen tablets dose 200, 300, 400 mg can be directly compressed using mannitol Parteck M-200, Pearlitol 200 SD, and Granular Mannogem. Whereas ibuprofen tablet manufactured using Original mannitol didnt show uniformity in mixing process and free-flowing property. Ibuprofen tablet dose 200 and 300 mg manufactured using mannitol Parteck M-200 and Pearlitol 200 SD accomplished qualification except friability. But ibuprofen dose 400 mg didnt accomplish qualification friability and dissolution. Ibuprofen tablet dose 200, 300, and 400 mg manufactured using mannitol Granular Mannogem didnt accomplish qualification friability, disintegration time and dissolution. <br /> text
