Description
Summary:Ethanol can be produced from renewable sources which called bioethanol and can be used as an

aternative energy. The carbohydrate contents of rice straw can be converted to ethanol by

fermentation. In this research, bioethanol is produced from rice straw liquor which is made by

pressing the fresh rice straw with high pressure. This liquor fermentation was compared to dried

rice straw, those are acid hydrolyzed of dried rice straw and selulase hydrolyzed of dried rice

straw. The amount of sugar in each sampel is determined using Somogyi-Nelson method. In

sample which contain the higest sugar is continued by fermenting it with a commercial yeast

(fermipan) with a variation series of temperatue, pH, and the amount of yeast.
