Summary:PT ABC is an andesite mining company located in Bogor Regency, West Java with a production target of 121,577 tons in October 2020. During October and several months in 2020, the production target was not achieved. The study carried out on bench 9 found that there was a long waiting time for the arrival of the hauling units when broken rock was hauled to plant A. Therefore, in this research, a study which produces alternative improvements to production activities in order to reach the company’s targets will be conducted. The data taken by direct observation in the field are cycle time, the number of loading and hauling units used and the hauling distance. Meanwhile, data of haul road conditions, available working hours, production targets, and units specifications are obtained from PT ABC and literatures. After calculating the actual condition, the production activities of loading unit, hauling units and match factors are 358.73 tons/hour (119% target), 227.03 tons/hour (75% target), and 0.63 respectively. It can be seen that the hauling activity is the cause of the problem. Therefore, 3 evaluations that will be carried out in this study, namely they are decreasing the road grade only, decreasing the road rolling resistance only, and decreasing the grade and rolling resistance of the road. This evaluation is aimed to reduce the hauling time of both loaded and empty. Based on the evaluation results, the estimated production and match factor are as follows: 230.67 tons/hour (76% target) and 0.64 respectively, if decreasing the road grade only; 293.58 tons/hour (97% target) and 0.82 respectively, if decreasing road rolling resistance only; 268.61 tons/hour (89% target) and 0.75 respectively, if decreasing the grade and rolling resistance.
