Summary: | The Cikapundung River has an important role as a source of life for the people of
Bandung City and its surroundings. Riverside tourism of the Cikapundung River
began to develop in the public open spaces of the Cikapundung Terrace,
Cikapundung River spot Plaza, and Regol Park which are attracted visitors for
recreation. The flow of the Cikapundung River and its riverside hold evidence of
natural history, events, and culture that can be studied from upstream to
downstream as knowledge for visitors. The three different themes of public open
spaces can be interrelated with the existence of nature and culture on the riverside
as well as other tourist attractions in the vicinity so that riverside tourism products
are built. An analysis of the tourism product is needed to what extent it can be
developed.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential of riverside tourism to increase
the tourist attraction of the Cikapundung Riverside in terms of improving the visitor
experience. The approach used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative research
to analyze tourism products, profiles, and priority factors/components that need to
be considered. Processed data comes from secondary data and primary data
through observation, interviews, visitor questionnaires, and experts. The analytical
method applied is spatial analysis, statistical analysis with SPSS application
program, Expert Choice application program, qualitative and quantitative
descriptive analysis with Likert and Thrusthone scales.
This study resulted in an assessment of conformity between tourism zoning policies
with the theme of recreational development in riverside public open spaces, visitor
characteristics, and interest in information on riverbanks, and tourism products. It
is formed and can be developed on the Cikapundung riverside which is seen from
aspects of management, community involvement, recreational activities, tourist
attractions, facilities and accessibility, knowledge information, recreation
programs, and riverside tourist routes. It is hoped that this analysis of tourism
products can increase the value of tourist attraction on the Cikapundung riverside
so that it can improve the experience of visitors on the banks of the river. |
