Summary: | The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on Indonesia, especially in the
tourism industry sector. One of the strategies and adaptations carried out in the
tourism sector in Indonesia is by utilizing digital technology, namely by conducting
virtual tours. Nglanggeran Tourism Village is one of the tourist villages that has
successfully held a virtual tour at the beginning of the pandemic. This study aims to
identify the existence of virtual tours in Nglanggeran as a recovery step and build the
image of post-pandemic tourism destinations. Through qualitative descriptive
analysis, it is known that the virtual tour is an innovation carried out by Pokdarwis
and collaborates with tourism activist partners as a response to the Nglanggeran to
existing conditions. This shows the adaptive and resilience attitude of the Nglanggeran
during the pandemic. In the procurement of virtual tours, there are encouraging and
inhibiting factors which are divided into 6 aspects, namely human resource capacity,
information technology, social factors, marketing, stakeholder involvement, and
financing. The recovery of tourism during the pandemic has not been achieved through
virtual tours, the contribution of virtual tours to the income of the tourism sector is not
significant, but Pokdarwis uses it as a medium for introducing Nglanggeran Tourism
Village to a wider market during the pandemic. Virtual tours can build a cognitive
destination image of the Nglanggeran, thereby fostering tourist interest in visiting the
Nglanggeran in the post-pandemic. |
