Modernity in human life gives some side effects in their social life. People become so individualist and careless. Besides that, naturally, people want to gather with others who have the same thought, especially when people are minority. That s why, a local religious community is very important to solve those problems. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> St. Paulus Catholic Center is developed to facilitate Catholic community to find the answers of their social life problems. St. Paulus Catholic Center is a facility which can accommodate Catholic community to make the real relationship with God and others. In St. Paulus Catholic Center, people can interact, share, and make a relationship which can guide into personal, spiritual, and self identity development. The visitor of St. Paulus Catholic Center itself is dominated by Chinese ethnic, which is the majority of Bandung Catholic community. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In this case, interior design is very important in affecting the psychologic condition of the visitor. The purpose of this design is to make a good quality of interior that can affecting the psychologic side of the visitor into a better side. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The design concept of St. Paulus St. Paulus Catholic Center interior, the design concept should be a combination between psychologic need of Catholic community and the characteristic of the visitor, which is Indonesian Chinese community. Catholic community needs includes heavenly and love. In the other side, Indonesian Chinese community is a community with good solidarity, dynamic, and always holds their ancestors traditions. Those two things is reflected in the design concept of St. Paulus Catholic Center which includes functionality, psychology, color, shape, material, circulation, furniture, lighting, temperature, utility, and safety.
