Description
Summary:Oransbari Container Port at Papua Barat is one of the solutions to the market disparity in Indonesia. Through Sea Highway Program, Oransbari will accommodate the transportation of containers across Indonesia to supply Papua Barat. Vibroflotation will be chosen to improve the soil at the land facilities, under the wharf, and breakwater structures. Soil improvement is aimed to mitigate liquefaction at the site and successfully increased the safety factor to 1.20. Vibroflotation is designed to have 1.6-meter-spaced triangular compaction points. To estimate the width of the soil improvement at the breakwater zone, PLAXIS 2D will be used. Vibroflotation is estimated to create 13.4 mm ground subsidence. However, this could be solved by using a backfill in the process. The foundation of the wharves will be designed with steel pipe piles. The pile diameter is ranging 500 to 900 mm according to a catalogue from NIPPON STEEL. The design will be done to each row as the elevation differs from the sloping soil below. The analysis of the axial bearing capacity will be done manually. Ensoft LPILE and Ensoft GROUP will help the analysis of the lateral bearing capacity of the piles. Slope stability check will be using the limit equilibrium method with the help of GeoStudio SLOPE/W. The analysis will be done in static and pseudo-static conditions.
