Summary: | Fast development of aerospace industry affect the increasing of pollution as if CO2, NOx, etc. Therefore, there is some urgency to develop alternative fuel with zero carbon footprint. Palm choosen as raw material for the alternative fuel because Indonesia have abundant of it. Process for making the alternative fuel using process called Co-processing. Alternative fuel are tested with turbofan engine in test cell. Data from the test show that J2 have efficiency between 31.5% - 33% and SFC (Specific Fuel Consumption) between 0,406 – 0,408 lb/lbf.hr. Jet A1 have efficiency between 31% - 32.5% and SFC between 0,405 – 0,410 lb/lbf.hr. If we see from standard that issued by CFM, all performance parameter have met standard.
