Palm choosen as raw material for the alternative fuel because Indonesia have abundant of it. Process for making the alternative fuel using process called Co-processing. Alternative fuel are tested with turbofan engine in test cell. Data from the test show that J2 have efficiency between 31.5% - 33% and SFC (Specific Fuel Consumption) between 0,406 – 0,408 lb/lbf.hr. Jet A1 have efficiency between 31% - 32.5% and SFC between 0,405 – 0,410 lb/lbf.hr. If we see from standard that issued by CFM, all performance parameter have met standard. text |
