PT. XYZ is one of the mining companies in Indonesia located in South Kalimantan Province with coal as its main mining commodity. PT. XYZ uses a digging tool in the form of a backhoe and a transportation tool in the form of a dump truck. For the B85-B105 front, the tools used are Komatsu PC2000 and PC850 backhoes and Komatsu HD785 and Scania P410 dump trucks. In the mining operations carried out, there are indications that the selection of a combination of digging and loading equipment and transportation equipment at PT. XYZ is not yet suitable so that fuel costs are expensive. Three scenarios of the combination of digging and loading equipment were made to obtain the cheapest combination of digging and loading equipment. The calculation results show that the combination of one Komatsu PC2000 backhoe and four Komatsu HD785 dump trucks and one Komatsu PC1250 backhoe and four Scania P410 dump trucks produces match factors of 1.27 and 0.72. In addition, fuel costs also provide a fuel cost of Rp.4,715/ton. These results indicate that there are alternative combinations of digging-loading equipment and transportation equipment that provide cheaper fuel costs than those used by PT.XYZ before.
