Summary:PT Gasses Logistic is one of the companies that operates in the downstream oil and gas industry that focuses on providing logistic services and other support. From oil, gasses, to lubricant, together with their partnership, PT Gasses Logistic are responsible of transporting those goods to their consumers across Indonesia. Also, PT Gasses Logistic is the subsidiary/child company from one of the biggest state-owned enterprises in Indonesia. The core business of PT Gasses Logistic is transportation, that is why every type of problem in transportation needed to be solved quickly. Through this research, the main problem of this research is related to transportation. The main problem that are identified is work & traffic accident and are taken because it causes the biggest losses comparing it with the other problems. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the risk level, identifying the root cause, and to provide few alternative solutions that will be chosen by the stakeholder of PT Gasses Logistic. The research method being used is both qualitative and quantitative method. First, the problem will be evaluated using risk assessment form and will be analysed further using Six Sigma DMAIC method. The purpose of risk assessment form is to understand that the problem of this research is severe. Six Sigma DMAIC with the support of fishbone diagram and 5WHYs technique will be used to identify the root cause and what is the optimal solution. After the Six Sigma DMAIC process, it is identified that the root cause is driver negligence and driver fatigue. Negligence and fatigue happen because the dwelling time in the warehouse is abnormally long. From the analysis result, author provide 3 alternative solutions to the company stakeholder. From those alternative solutions, the stakeholder chose the third alternative, order a modular custom wing box container to implement the drop and hook process. The drop and hook process hopefully will reduce/mitigate the dwelling time in the warehouse. According to the author knowledge, drop and hook process has yet to be implemented in many logistic companies in Indonesia, because there’s a specific limitation to implement the drop and hook process. With this research, the author hope that it would help reduce the losses for PT Gasses Logistic and other similar companies. The author also hopes that this research will be helpful for other research in the future.
