Description
Summary:This article takes the case of Alibaba, a representative of Chinese Internet companies, in its overseas acquisition of Lazada. The article analyzes the specific details of Alibaba's overseas acquisition of cross-border e-commerce Lazada, and explains the development profile and business models of the two companies. Using a combination of theory and practice, the motivation of the acquisition was analyzed in detail, and the policy risks, business management risks, information technology and payment risks that existed in the acquisition process were explained in detail. Then, the article conducts a detailed analysis of risk response strategies for the entire acquisition process of Alibaba's overseas acquisition of Lazada, including analysis of target selection before the acquisition, payment methods in the acquisition process, and integration analysis. Finally, the relevant financial indicators and non-financial indicators are used to quantitatively analyze and evaluate the integration effect of the acquisition strategy, and conclude that Alibaba's operating conditions have improved after the completion of the acquisition of Lazada. The article concludes with a detailed introduction to the research summary and enlightenment of Alibaba's overseas acquisitions. In this acquisition, Alibaba correctly evaluated the acquisition target, followed the correct overseas acquisition strategy, chose the "partner" control model, and successfully completed the acquisition of Lazada, a cross-border e-commerce company in Southeast Asia. Alibaba's merger integration case has a certain reference effect for other Chinese cross-border e-commerce companies to "go global" for overseas mergers and acquisitions or for other Internet companies to enter the Southeast Asian market through mergers and acquisitions.
