Description
Summary:Pekayon, East Jakarta has now become a densely populated area. However, they do not have a good wastewater management system. Some people still dispose their wastewater into the drainage channel and other people have an on-site system (septic tank). But they never drain the septic tank and indicated to pollute the ground water. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a semi-centralized wastewater management system. This system is planned to serve several houses in Pekayon. The wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is located at RPTRA Kopi Gandaria. There are 3 alternatives each for the collection pipelines and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The selected alternatives were chosen by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Total population that served by this system is 2,642 people. The pipelines are planned to use a shallow sewer system with diameter ranging from 100 – 200 mm. This pipelines also planned to use PVC. Furthermore, these pipelines using a gravity and pressurized flow. The WWTP is carried out in 2 stages which in stage 1 the capacity is 60.69 m3/day and in stage 2 is 156.19 m3/day. Selected treatment plant that used in WWTP consist of bar screen, equalization basin, anaerobic baffled reactor, aerobic filter, and disinfection basin which will then flow to the drainage channel.
