Summary: | In this digital era, lifestyle changes, especially the high internet use, significantly affect drug and food trade patterns, from conventional to digital systems. Illegal drugs often found in websites, e-commerce, and social media must be anticipated quickly and appropriately to protect public health from the risks of drugs that do not meet standards. One of the functions that play a role in eradicating and controlling the circulation of illegal drug and food products is an investigator of the law enforcement division.
The obstacle faced is the limited number of investigators. Also, shifting and rotating positions within the organization have become routine; this is done to strengthen organizational performance. On the other hand, it becomes a problem due to a lack of knowledge. To address this, the author proposes to approach a knowledge management system with the main factors: people, process, and technology. Data analysis uses text or narration from the results of interviews and observations. The data obtained were analyzed using the fishbone diagram method. The root of the problem found is then transferred to the SECI model knowledge conversion mechanism.
The results of the fishbone analysis are mainly due to the lack of knowledge sharing and the handling of documents that have not been centralized. To overcome this, the authors propose to conduct orientation to fresh employees and hold monthly meetings and discussion forums for knowledge sharing, knowledge cafes, and training. Create a centralized document placement for easy access. Managers' role is vital in supporting the implementation of knowledge management as an initiator and raw model. Knowledge sharing activities are then documented into a knowledge management system which is used as a standard guide for all employees. |
