Summary:Mobile Point of Sales (MPOS) is a type of application that mainly used to manage sales transaction. One of Indonesian MPOS is Bonum. Bonum is marketed as an easy and flexible-to-use application, with low education SMEs as its target users. Compared to other MPOS, Bonum has a low number of downloads on Google Play Store. Moreover, according to the developers, Bonum has low performance and will be withdrawn from the market to be developed further. Based on the preliminary studies done on MPOS usage, Bonum was unknown and foreign to most of the respondents. This show that Bonum has problems regarding its acceptance on its target users. This study aim to evaluate factors that affect MPOS adoption by low education SMEs and construct improvement proporsal based on the evaluation’s result. The evaluation used user acceptance approach, using TAM2 model that consists of independent variables such as subjective norms, image, perceived usefulness, dan perceived ease of use. This study was done using questionnaire, with 181 respondents. Data processing on user acceptance data was done using binary logistic regression. The result of this study indicates that factors that affect MPOS adoption by low education SMEs are subjective norms, perceived usefulness, dan perceived ease of use. Improvement proposal for Bonum’s acceptance related to subjective norms is to increase promotion campaign to raise the awareness of the application’s existence among its target users, thus increasing its users. While the proposal to increase the perceived usefulness is to add new features to the application, such as: offline transaction recording, outlet management, employee management, and adding other digital payment options. The proposal to increase the application’s ease of use is to design UI that supports uses with low digital literacy and do usability testing.
