One of the MSMEs affected by the Covid-19 pandemic is the embroidery MSME, which is one of the largest contributors to GRDP in the City of Tasikmalaya with a focus on developing the handicraft processing industry at the Priangan TimurPangandaran Planning Area (WP). Therefore, it is necessary to find out how the adaptive capacity of handicraft MSMEs in dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This research aims to identify the adaptive capacity of handicraft SMEs in dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic through entrepreneurial capacity, social capacity, and institutional capacity of formal institutions. The data used in this study were collected by purposive sampling method followed by snowball sampling to the embroidery entrepreneurs in Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City. Data analysis was carried out with a qualitative analysis approach. The results show that the adaptive capacity of embroidery SMEs in Kawalu is only entrepreneurial capacity, while social capacity tends to be lacking. Embroidery SMEs in Kawalu are also not supported by the institutional capacity of formal institutions. This shows that business operations are carried out individually, resulting in a diversity of adaptive capacities and no collective action to find solutions in dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic perceived by all embroidery SMEs in Kawalu text
