Soon after the first pandemic restrictions were proclaimed in early 2020, many professional services firms were essentially forced into adopting remote work configurations. In particular, while evidence shows that remote working can bring benefits to employees, there are several arising factors such as the difference in management control approach, internal-external employees condition, and the medium extension of the remote working condition. This paper is trying to answer how remote working conditions may be preferable in some cases; While also gives the reader some management techniques to ensure a successful remote working scheme by doing meta-analysis with thematic approaches of the relevant peer-reviewed scholarly journals. However, with the lack of some of the data research requires, this paper will have to follow a strict and consistent academic approach for it to be relevant. The findings suggested that a top-down approach that is also flexible for the employee is seemingly highly suggested to develop a successful remote working scheme relative to employee performance. text
