INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/64119 During the Covid-19 pandemic, the movement of people outside the home was limited due to the PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) policy. Almost all face-to-face activities have been shifted to online activities. Food delivery is one of the adaptations made during the Covid-19 pandemic and is recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia as a health protocol. This suggestion causes an increase in the frequency of ordering food delivery. However, this encourages the creation of food packaging waste for delivery which can become a burden in landfills. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of generation and composition of delivery food packaging and compare by gender group, identify the management carried out by the community and its relationship to education, per capita income, and gender factors, as well as analyze the difference between regular times and the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted by distributing online questionnaires with the scope of Semarang City. The survey data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Based on the results of the analysis, Semarang City has an average food packaging waste generation of 0.046 kg/person/day during normal conditions and 0.162 kg/person/day during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the female's average generation rate being higher than men in normal and pandemic conditions. The Wilcoxon Matched Pairs comparative test showed a significant difference in the frequency of food delivery orders under normal and pandemic conditions. With the same test, it was shown that there was no difference between the management of food packaging waste for delivery before and after the pandemic. The Chi-Square Test and Contingency Coefficient show that education, income per capita, and gender have a significant parallel unidirectional correlation with the management of food packaging waste for delivery. text
