Summary:TPS – Kalianak Railway bridge is a part of new transportation mode planned to facilitate the transportation activity of logistics from and to Tanjung Perak harbor. In order to objectify the bridge promptly as designed, a planning of construction method and management is required. The planning involves determining effective construction methods, project scheduling, and project cost estimation to achieve the main objectives of the planning ie, timely, cost, and quality. The construction begins with preparatory work consists of field cleaning, surveying, temporary facilities construction, and mobilization. The bridge’s substructure works is done afterwards by doing earthwork, foundation work, and pile cap. Next is the superstructure works including construction of pier, bearing pads, and steel truss bridge by cantilever launch method. The latter work is the railway track which consists of concrete pads, steel rail tracks and rail joints. All work is done in accordance to the planned sequence and zone. Project schedule is modeled in Microsoft Project resulting the project duration of 238 working days. Cost estimation of engineer’s estimate is done with resource enumeration method. This project is estimated to cost Rp 467.572.450.396 or Rp 190.070.102 per meter.
