Summary:PT Dirgantara Indonesia is Indonesian Aircraft Industries that produce various types of aircraft. At the end of 2020, there is a gap with 50% percentages between actual workload and production capacity. Therefore, the objective of this study is to increase the efficiency by reducing the number of waste that identified in harness shop using Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) approach with lean principles. In the define phase, implementation of the project is set in harness shop. In the measure phase, the results of waste identified in harness shop are as follows, inventory waste with 21,46% value and defects waste with 18,91% value using Waste Assesstment Model. In the analyze phase, by using pareto chart, the cause of inventory and defects waste are further analyzed using cause effect diagram. In improve phase, there are 2 alternatives solution to increase efficiency in harness shop which are the usage of projector to solve defects waste in connecting area and also the improvement of information flow that happen in harness shop. In control phase, risks are identified to the solutions given which are preparation of the human labor in harness shop to use new technology and data transformation and collection to support improvement in information system.
