Description
Summary:ABSTRACT:

One of the methods to prevent corrosion process is the use of corrosion inhibitor, which are chemical compounds that would stop or slow down the corrosion process when added to the system. One of the chemical compound that have corrosion inhibitor activities are amino acids. The experiment was carried out by measuring the corrosion inhibition velocity of six amino acids which are glycine, alanine, phenylalanine, aspartic acid, tyrosine, and histidine. Furthermore, the synthesis of other inhibitor of histidine and phenylalanine derivatives, which are histidinal and phenylalaninal, was also carried out.
