One of the chemical compound that have corrosion inhibitor activities are amino acids. The experiment was carried out by measuring the corrosion inhibition velocity of six amino acids which are glycine, alanine, phenylalanine, aspartic acid, tyrosine, and histidine. Furthermore, the synthesis of other inhibitor of histidine and phenylalanine derivatives, which are histidinal and phenylalaninal, was also carried out. text
