Summary: | PDAM Way Rilau is the only water resource management company in Bandar Lampung. The increase in population, together with the increasing demand for clean water supply, has resulted in two existing installations operating beyond their capacity. This has become the driving force for the development of Water Treatment Plant (WTP) I and II of PDAM Way Rilau with the planning for the construction of a new WTP. Determining the most optimal alternative to the new WTP configuration to remove contaminants is carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, with a selected alternative unit consisting of coagulation units using static mixers, clariflocculators, rapid sand filtrations, and disinfection using chlorine gas injection. The total minimum land area required for the new WTP is 1.7 hectares with an initial investment cost of Rp 45,471,064,000,- for the first development period and Rp 59,083,591,000,- for the second development period. The operational and maintenance costs for the first period is estimated at Rp 17,773,935,000,-. As for the second period, the amount is Rp. 12,462,510,000,-. |
