Description
Summary:PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) is a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia which is engaged in container terminal operators. One of the terminal containers owned by IPC TPK is Terminal Operation 3 (TO 3) located in the Tanjung Priok II Area. TO 3 is an international container terminal that serves international shipping. One of the performance indicators of the container terminal is BSH (Box per Ship per Hour) and related to the completion time (makespan). Based on internal data from PT IPC TPK, the target value BSH is 55 BSH and has not been fulfilled in the last 2 years. One of the ships that is actively berthing on TO 3 is the CTP Golden which has a turnaround time about every 2 weeks. In this study, the object is operation of the CTP Golden 17E21 ship that unloads 567 containers at TO II IPC TPK and will be evaluated in terms of ship operation planning in quay crane scheduling using linear programming methods. The software used is CPLEX with a computation time limit of 2 hours. In the existing ship operation plan, 3 quay cranes are used with a turnaround time of about 696.15 minutes or in BSH of 48.86 BSH. The decision variables analyzed in this study are quay crane scheduling, namely the order of loading, unloading start time, and unloading finish time for each group of containers for each assigned quay crane. The target BSH value is 55 BSH for solution development as refference. By using the linear programming model and with a computational time limit of 2 hours, the optimal result is obtained in the form of a minimum completion time of about 530.79 minutes or in BSH of 64.09 BSH. This method is expected to be able to solve the problem of planning for the next CTP Golden ship operation.
