Summary:Abstact : <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The screening test of eight type of Phyllanthus plant had been performed to detect lignan present in the plant. The screening test included extraction with maceration and liquid extraction. The organic phase was analyzed using GC-MS and TLC using H2SO4 and vanillin sulphate as spray reagent. Based on the lignan contain of the screening, Phyllanthus buxifolius show to contained both qualitatively anf quantitatively. Isolation process included maceration, liquid extraction, column chromatography, preparative TLC, and GC-MS. From GC-MS data was known tahat P. buxifolius contain 16 lignans and one of them was hinokinin which has been proven based on the literature as antihepatitic drug.
