economy independently. Pramuka Island is part of the Thousand Islands National
Park, DKI Jakarta, which also implements ecotourism as a direction for tourism
development. The wealth of marine natural resources and the condition of available
local wisdom cause local communities to develop creativity, especially in the creative
economy. However, the community has not taken advantage of ecotourism activities
adapted to the creative economy and there is also no direction for the development of
the creative economy. Therefore, this study aims to identify the development of
ecotourism through the creative economy according to the principles of Pramuka
Island. The data obtained were analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis. The
literature review used is the concept of the creative economy, ecotourism, and the
synergy between the creative economy and ecotourism. The results of the analysis in
this study are the potential of the creative economy sub-sector available on Pramuka
Island to support tourism activities according to ecotourism principles that have been
modified according to research. The integration of the creative economy that supports
ecotourism activities can be an alternative as well as a challenge for local tourism
