Biodesign principles incorporate the principles of living biological systems into the design process to produce innovations in design in the form of architecture, fashion, and interior products. Branches of biodesign principles include; biomorph, biomimicry, and bioutilization. From three branches of the principle, the biomorph principle was chosen to be combined with histology in the form of visuals of the human digestive system tissue because of its relationship with living things as the main inspiration in this research. A case study conducted at one of the health museums at the iMuseum IMERI FKUI, Jakarta, shows that there is no histology-themed media in the museum area to complement the human anatomy education media, so this final project is focused on responding to the iMuseum IMERI FKUI, especially the edutainment area aimed at children. The main elements applied to the work are visually inspired by the tissues (assembled cells) of the human digestive system. The visual tissue is taken from what is seen through a microscope and then the shape and color is styled to compose an attractive visual media in the form of wall décor 2 meters x 1.3 meters. The design of the human digestive system tissue that has been composed is then made by hand using the tufting technique combined with loop pile and cut pile threads. text |
