Currently, Block SES operates in the upstream oil and gas. Prior to 2022 Block SES sells oil and gas production to consumers. However, in 2022 Block SES no longer sells gas to consumers due to declining in gas production. From this business situation, the problem faced by Block SES is the potential loss of oil production due to limited gas production. As a result, the potential loss of oil that will be beared by the SES block is 1002 MBOP which is equivalent to 68,364 million USD and will continue to increase every year if fuel gas cannot be fulfilled. The purpose of this thesis is to find out the root cause of the problems, discover the best alternative, and develop a plan to execute from the best alternative solutions. To find out the root of the problem and create alternative solutions, the process that was followed was brainstorming and focus group discussions with experts. When creating alternative solutions, a value focus thinking (VFT) approach is used. From the process that was passed, five alternative solutions were obtained for further analysis so that the problems faced by Block SES block could be resolved. To analyze the alternative solutions, the SMART method is used because the SMART method breaks down the problem into several small parts and focuses on each part separately. Thus, decision makers can assess the attributes used in this method without the influence of the costs incurred. In addition, decision makers can understand the existing problems. The results of this analysis of alternative solutions concluded that the best alternative for the problems faced by Block SES block is Drilling Maya A-04 well. Drilling MAYA A-04 well can produce 8,715 MMSCF of gas and 3,394 MBO of oil. Drilling MAYA A-04 well also has a good weight on the weight that is prioritized by the decision maker. text
