Description
Summary:Some types of vegetables and fruits need to be stored in the refrigerator to maintain the quality of the vegetables and fruits themselves so that they do not spoil quickly. However, vegetables and fruits in the refrigerator are often stored using disposable plastic bags obtained after purchasing the vegetables and fruits. SCOBY can be an alternative biomaterial that is effective enough to be used as a sustainable, durable, strong, and environmentally friendly storage material for vegetables and fruits because it is easily decomposed. SCOBY can also maintain the quality of vegetables and fruits stored in the refrigerator. Such characteristics of SCOBY have the potential to be used as a storage container for vegetables and fruits that can be used repeatedly. The design of vegetable and fruit storage containers by utilizing SCOBY can also help minimize plastic waste and reduce the harmful effects that can be caused by storing vegetables and fruits in disposable plastic bags
