INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/66376 ABSTRACT DESIGN OF SERVICE PLAN ON SERVICE COMPOSITION By Ryche Pranita NIM: 23218015 (Master’s Program in Electrical Engineering) The increasing business needs have caused the existing IT services to not have the expected capabilities. The existing IT service capabilities are expected to be able to dynamically organize and compile service candidates in the form of web services from different service providers. This activity is a service composition process. The service composition process that organizes and arranges service candidates begins with the service planning stage. Service planning is done to ensure each process abstract has a suitable service candidate. This research uses the method of separation of concerns with the decomposition of the business process model as a component of the service composition which is a requirement. This requirement refers to the components of the business process model in the service composition. The expected business process model uses a machine-understandable format. One of the complete and commonly used business process models is the Business Process Model Notation (BPMN). The case study will be carried out as an evaluation using the BPMN model by considering the process data flow so as to enrich the transformation of the goal model. The evaluation carried out resulted in a complexity metric with a value of 18. This value indicates the separation of concerns method is able to reduce the complexity of the model being built. In addition, the goal model that is formed generates value in service candidates that can be used at the next stage of the service composition process, namely service discovery to choose the most suitable and executed into new services. The increasing business needs have caused the existing IT services to not have the expected capabilities.
