Description
Summary:ii ABSTRACT HARDWARE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THEFT DETECTION AND TRACKING SYSTEMS IN CARS BASED ON IMU, BLE, AND GPS By Reihan Augeetiansyah NIM: 13218015 (Bachelor????????????Program in Electrical Engineering) The rate of motor vehicle theft is still high in Indonesia. However, from all cases of motor vehicle theft that occurred, only a few cases of motor vehicle theft were resolved. Lack of evidence and information is a major factor in motor vehicle theft that is difficult to resolve. In addition, there are efforts by the perpetrators to eliminate evidence to deceive the police so that cases of motor vehicle theft are increasingly difficult to determine. The speed of response from the owner and the police is a significant factor in the success of solving this car theft case. Based on the description above, a solution is proposed as a car location tracking system based on the internet of things that can provide real-time vehicle location information and detect the possibility of theft. In addition, the solution also has an integrated information system with the police to speed up reporting and prosecution of motor vehicle theft cases. One part of the system is the hardware installed in the car. This hardware consists of several important parts, namely a global positioning system implemented with Ublox Neo-6M, a communication system implemented with GPRS SIM800L and using the MQTT protocol, a theft attempt detection system using a combination of presence detection and user authentication, each of which is implemented with IMU MPU6050 and Bluetooth low energy. In general, functional testing for each part has been carried out and has the entire system's functionality by the expected specifications. Keywords: BLE, Cars, GPS, IMU, IoT, MQTT
