Summary: | Optimization and efficiency steps are carried out by all companies so that companies can
continue to run their company business and can continue to compete. Likewise in the oil and
gas industry, optimization and efficiency measures are also carried out. Examples that are
carried out by oil and gas companies in optimization and efficiency are ensuring reliable
operating conditions, optimizing production results, and reducing unplanned / planned
production losses or LPO (loss production opportunity) as well as streamlining every project
activity. One of the issues related to operational reliability, and loss of production (LPO) is the
production line pipe HCT 12” Batak City – MD Tie-in which is owned by PT. CPI with a
production of around 18,000 BOPD. For this reason, further action and in-depth analysis are
needed to ensure that the production line pipeline can continue to be operated reliably and can
eliminate LPO where a plan to correct this problem is needed. In addition, the results of the
RBI show results that require further action, both short-term and long-term plans to avoid the
production line pipeline from the HSSE issue. This final project aims to produce a
comprehensive solution and recommendations or selected alternatives for improvement plans
that will be carried out as the output of this final project. In addition, this final project can
prevent events that can have an impact on the environment or injury to the surrounding
community who are in the area around the pipe segment which can damage the image of the
company PT. CPI.
The first methodology used is a situation appraisal using the Kepner-Tregoe (KT) Situation
Appraisal. Next to analyze the root of the problem is to use KT Analysis - Problem analysis
and verified using the 5 whys method. Alternatives as solutions to problems are carried out
using the Value Focused Thinking (VFT) method. And the last is the alternative selection
process using the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method. In the process
of looking for alternatives and selecting alternatives, four people have experience and
knowledge related to piping and project management. The results are then submitted to the
leadership (DE & DRB) as decision-makers. Based on the results of the SMART Decision
Analysis on the alternatives and the existing project criteria, the full replacement pipe project
is the choice of the stakeholder. |
