Description
Summary:One of the system developments on the Autonomous Tram in Indonesia is the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Emergency Braking System (EBS). This paper will specifically discuss the design, implementation, and analysis of EBS on Autonomous Tram through Software in the Loop Simulation (SILS). The emergency braking system serves to provide braking on the tram when an accident is detected based on the vehicle in front of it. The EBS design will use a Fuzzy Mamdani Controller as a controller to provide braking output. In addition to providing braking, EBS will provide a warning in the form of a horn so that other road users will be more aware of the presence of trams on urban streets. The EBS implementation itself will use the CARLA Simulator software. CARLA is a simulator that resembles the environment in the real world. This simulator consists of components such as buildings, vehicles, pedestrians, to traffic lights so that it is suitable as a simulation environment. Later the simulation will be carried out with a predetermined number of vehicles and pedestrians so that it resembles the operating conditions of trams on urban streets.
