Summary: | The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) reports that mathematics for senior high school in Indonesia is the lowest ranked subject. Trends in International mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) also said the same thing that students’ mathematical abilities are still at the lowest level, namely the fourth category at the level of mathematical ability. The results of interviews and diagnostic tests also show that the level of students’ understanding of the exponent is still low. Visual mathematics is an instrument that can solve these problems. This project is to see the effectiveness of visual mathematics in the form of video-podcast mathematics on student learning outcomes on exponent. The research was conducted on high school students in class X by using the Design Randomized Control Group Pretest – Posttest research design. The results show that learning using video-podcast mathematics can improve student learning outcomes. |
