Description
Summary:Jajak Pendapat (Jakpat) is a one-stop-solution platform for online market research. It is operated under PT Gongsin Internasional Transindo (GIT), an Indonesian company based in Yogyakarta. Jakpat was launched to the market in 2014 and ever since has been growing rapidly. Until this report was written, Jakpat had more than one million panelists distributed all around the archipelago, completed more than twelve thousand research projects and worked with more than three thousands customers around the world. Running the business for almost a decade, Jakpat aims to be the leading online market research platform in Indonesia. However, to do so, Jakpat currently are dealing with some business issues, including how to acquire customers from the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) segment and how to win a fierce business competition. To comprehensively analyze those issues, qualitative and quantitative research methodology is used in this research. The primary data gathered is from interviewing Jakpat’s management, potential customers as well as competitors. The data also gather from questionnaires. To understand the business issues better, there are two analyses used: PEST Analysis to evaluate the impact of external forces of the company and Porter’s Five Forces to explain the profit potential of different industries. Further, VRIO and Value Chain framework is used to assess the competitive implications of a company’s resources. After all related information is gathered, a business strategy formulation will be conducted.
