For designing the ramp down, field investigation, laboratory test, rock mass classification and support analysis using rock mass-support interaction curves, have been conducted. The research revealed that majority of support recommended by the rock mass classification system would be adequate. The exception would be for support installed in the black sill. This support might require some modifications. text
