Description
Summary:PT Cahaya Perada Abadi (CPA) is a company engaged in manufacturing by producing golf gloves. PT CPA implements a make-to-order manufacturing system, where gloves will be produced after an order from the parent company, namely PT Adira Semesta Industry. The production process of golf gloves includes cutting, pasting, sewing, and checking product quality. PT CPA produces several different types of golf gloves. In this study, the types of gloves reviewed consisted of three types of gloves, namely Q3, Zf, and MG. PT CPA has a problem in the form of not achieving the production target of 53 boxes/day. Based on data from November 2021 to May 2022, the number of boxes produced was only 26 boxes/day. Therefore, the research was conducted by allocating operations to workstations so that production targets can be achieved. The objective function of this allocation is the minimization of the number of workstations. In addition, this research also produces alternative solutions in the form of allocating operations to stations, if the number of machines matches the existing conditions. The objective function of the second allocation is the minimization of cycle time. Problem-solving is done by using a linear programming model that refers to the SALBP-1M model. The computational model of this research was performed with IBM LOG CPLEX Studio IDE 12.10.0 software. Based on the computational results, the minimum number of workstations required from the first allocation so that the production target can be achieved is 26 workstations. Meanwhile, the minimum cycle time of the second allocation is 12.64 minutes/box with a total production of 37 boxes/day.
